Wedding flowers

Wedding flowers obviously play a large part in a bride's planning.

There's a lot to decide; which wedding flowers, which colours, what size, what's in season, make your own or pay someone to make your bouquet etc etc I went down the route of purchasing beautiful peonies from a flower market and creating our own bouquets (with the help of my wonderful friends).  It was easier than I thought - the biggest problem was storing them.  I picked up the flowers the morning before my wedding day and we created them the afternoon before.  Lucky we had a spare fridge!  All of the shelves came out and they fit in there somehow miraculously!  I was incredibly happy with how they turned out.  For the table flowers, I just kept it really simple and cheap with some pretty white small flowers in lovely small vases (also purchased at the markets).    I did pay them to create the boutonnière's though!  I think it was worth the cost as doing everything would have been near impossible!

I loved the process of choosing the flowers, however unfortunately I only wanted peonies and they are only available a few weeks of the year, luckily they were available for our wedding.  They were stunning and I was incredibly happy with them! x

I've found some good articles to help with planning your wedding flowers, good luck!
