DIY wedding ideas

Planning a wedding can be overwhelming in a lot of ways but mostly in terms of the budget!

There are many things you can do yourself that can help keep the cost of your wedding and wedding reception down, and they don't have to look 'cheap and nasty'. If you plan in advance and are well organised you can create almost anything you want for your wedding and know that you created it with lots of love!

There's a lot of templates and ideas out there on the world wide web but I've collected some from wedding specialist site Martha Stewart Weddings for you here in one place. These DIY wedding ideas list below come with FREE templates to help you create your own pieces for your wedding day. How great is that?!

Some of the wonderful wedding DIY ideas include making your own heart shaped escort (table) cards (pictured) vintage style candle wraps, wedding favour bags, kids wedding booklet, table conversation starters, wedding table numbers, wedding favour labels, a ‘just married’ banner and more.

Why not make a day (or a series of days over time) of it? Choose a few ideas that you want to try for your wedding, gather some friends around, purchase the required items and put on some cheap eats and a few glasses of wine and have a great time DIY-ing it up!
